On a routine call to the Golden Corral on North Freeway, an incident of disturbance escalated to a felony arrest for one Broderick Ackerman III. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a disturbance call last Tuesday and found that Ackerman was wanted for a felony burglary at Dekaney High School, according to the Constable Precinct 4 Facebook page.
"Broderick Ackerman was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant," declared Constable Mark Herman in a straightforward press release on the precinct's social media. The bond for Ackerman's release tiptoed around the sum of $10,000.00, issued by the 495th District Court.
The precinct's commitment to public safety and detail in disseminating information found form in their novel application, "C4 NOW." Citizens are encouraged to download the app as a beacon for live feeds on crime, arrests, safety tips, traffic accidents, and road conditions in their area, a concept heralded by local law enforcement to foster a well-informed community.
