
Consolidated Nuclear Security, which manages the Y-12 National Security Complex, is accepting applications for a $5,000 classroom grant. The grant will support STEM education for students in kindergarten through 12th grade in East Tennessee, as reported by the Y-12 National Security Complex.
Schools in counties from Anderson to Union can apply for a $5,000 Y-12 STEM education grant by October 6. According to the Y-12 National Security Complex, immediate family members of Y-12 employees are not eligible. The grant will be awarded to schools and must be used during the 2025–2026 school year for STEM education.
Grant awardees are expected to be announced during Nuclear Science Week, scheduled for October 20-24, as mentioned by the Y-12 National Security Complex. The event focuses on the importance of nuclear science and education.
