The city of El Paso is grieving another loss following a fatal traffic incident involving a motorcycle. The Special Traffic Investigations unit reported to the scene at the 6800 block of Fred Wilson, where they uncovered the sequence of events that led to the tragedy.
According to the El Paso Police Department, a black Harley Davidson was traveling west at a high rate of speed when it struck a curb and subsequently a road sign. The impact was severe enough to dislodge the rider from the vehicle, who, unfortunately, succumbed to their injuries.
The investigation has highlighted excessive speed as a key factor in the collision. This incident marks the 40th traffic fatality the city has seen this year, a tally that is nearly on par with the 41 reported at this time last year.
