The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has announced an updated schedule for closures along the southern portion of I-15 as part of the I-15 South Widening Project. These closures are part of ongoing traffic adjustments to facilitate construction work. Overnight restrictions will support asphalt milling operations, while paving has been postponed due to scheduling requirements.
From Sunday, August 3, through Wednesday, August 6, nightly lane reductions will occur on northbound I-15 between Starr Avenue and Blue Diamond Road from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Southbound I-15, from Blue Diamond Road to Silverado Ranch, will also be reduced to one lane nightly through Thursday, August 7. These schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Additional closures include the Cactus Avenue on-ramp to northbound I-15 and the off-ramp to Silverado Ranch Boulevard, which will be closed from 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, until the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 5.
Construction activity on southbound I-15 is continuing around the clock, with the freeway reduced to three lanes between Warm Springs Road and Blue Diamond Road. This configuration is expected to remain in place through August 2025 and includes the closure of an auxiliary lane. The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) advises motorists to consider alternate routes or exercise caution when traveling through the affected area.
