Yesterday, Seattle police responded to a fatal incident on Aurora Avenue North involving a fire truck and a Chevrolet Malibu. The collision, occurring at the intersection of North 128th Street and Aurora Avenue North, proved deadly for the driver of the Malibu, as reported by the Seattle Police Department.
Following the crash, which happened at approximately 4:59 a.m., Seattle Fire Department (SFD) personnel attempted life-saving measures on the Malibu's driver. Sadly, their efforts were not successful, and the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger of the vehicle also suffered injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in a serious condition. Firefighters reported no injuries among their crew.
Investigations by the Seattle Police Department indicated that the SFD ladder truck was executing a right turn to head southbound on Aurora from 128th when it was struck by the Malibu, which was traveling at a high velocity going south on Aurora.
