The Federal Bureau of Investigation is intensifying efforts to apprehend a group of individuals linked to a string of armored truck heists across Philadelphia and Cheltenham. According to a release of new images by the FBI's Philadelphia Field Office, the crimes occurred between June 26 and August 12, 2025.
Flagged by officials, the suspects are believed to be in their 20s, donning gloves and face coverings during the incidents, which involved the use of a black handgun or AR rifles, as reported by Fox29. The public's assistance is being sought after the suspects, in the process of four robberies, accused of disarming the truck employees of their service weapons. In their moves, always wearing face coverings and gloves, the perpetrators showcased a readiness to brandish firepower.
The FBI has offered a $10,000 reward for details leading to the arrest of these suspects, as per 6ABC. Over the course of the robberies, eyewitness accounts reported two to three individuals committing each theft. Stolen vehicles, which included a brown Nissan Altima, a silver Honda Accord, and several other dark-tinted window cars, were used as getaway vehicles, noted the FBI.
Following the suspects fleeing in various stolen vehicles, the authorities have keyed in on specific models—a black Nissan Maxima, black Dodge Durango, and a black Acura TLX among them. The heists have raised concern for both the safety of armored truck personnel and the brazen tactics of the culprits. "They wear gloves and face coverings during the robberies. In three of the four incidents, the suspects took the duty weapons of the armored truck drivers," was the statement given by the FBI, as mentioned by 6ABC.
