The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has arrested the final suspect in a fatal shooting at a Westside arcade in October 2024. Detectives identified 25-year-old Trai’xon Smith as the gunman responsible for the death of 28-year-old Ronald Matthews. Two other people were also injured during the incident.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office News, investigators determined that Smith was not acting alone. Three others, Quraan Goodman, 25; Petrios Britt, 27; and Cheneta Duffy, 33, face felony charges for their roles. All four suspects are now in custody.
Details about the motive or circumstances leading up to the shooting have not yet been released. The case will now proceed through the court system, where the suspects will face trial.
