Last Tuesday, officers from the Folsom Police Department responded to an active shoplifting incident at a local Kohl’s, where they found a male suspect loading a boxed Ninja Creami appliance into a Toyota Highlander. A recent social media post from the department noted that the vehicle had been reported stolen and was occupied by two additional individuals.
The male suspect initially provided a false identity to law enforcement but was later correctly identified and found to be on active probation. During the investigation, officers discovered methamphetamine in his possession. A search of the Toyota confirmed it had been stolen and also uncovered fentanyl and another Ninja Creami appliance, believed to be stolen. All three individuals in the vehicle were detained. After further investigation, one of them was released, as they were determined to have no involvement in the incident.
The Folsom PD identified Ralph Reyes, 44, of Sacramento, as the suspect taken into custody, facing multiple charges including organized retail theft, possession of methamphetamine, and outstanding warrants. Sal Garcia, 41, of Elk Grove, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of fentanyl. Both individuals were booked into Sacramento County Jail.
