In a recent display of interagency collaboration, the Folsom Police Department announced the recovery of a stolen E-bike and the successful apprehension of two suspects involved in the theft. According to an official social media post by the department, the locked E-bike, which had been stolen from the bike rack at Folsom High School last Wednesday, was tracked down leading to the arrest.
The bike's theft triggered a swift response, with a determined effort by school officials, School Resource Officers, detectives, patrol officers, and the support of an outside agency air unit to quickly share and act upon information. Their combined actions led not only to the recovery of the bike but also to placing two suspects behind bars.
The suspects have been identified as David Simmer, 36, charged with possession of stolen property, and Charles Rohr, 31, facing charges for grand theft and violating California Penal Code 666.1 PC, which is related to Proposition 36. Both were booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail in connection with the incident.
Emphasizing their diligence, Folsom Police remarked, "This case demonstrates our relentless commitment to safeguarding the community and holding those engaged in criminal activity accountable—together."
