Residents of Fort Worth have more reason to smile with some fresh additions to the city's Mobile Tool Shed program. Since March, folks have enjoyed free access to a variety of lawn and property maintenance tools, and according to the City of Fort Worth, the lineup has just been expanded to include pressure washers and large green yard carts.
Pressure washers, which can be a game-changer for cleaning tasks, are now part of the free offering. "These high-demand tools are great for cleaning siding, driveways, patios and more," says the City of Fort Worth, highlighting that professional cleaning services can cost homeowners between $500 and $1,500. The yard carts, also a new addition, are a sustainable alternative to yard bags and can be used for free, a shift from their usual $75 purchase price from the City.
Stepping up to handle an increasing demand, the expanded Mobile Tool Shed program aims to give residents in Worth Heights, Seminary, and Fairhaven neighborhoods the means to maintain their properties without the burden of high costs. By facilitating home and yard care, the initiative is successfully chipping away at potential code violations and thereby helping Fort Worth avoid expensive abatements.
