The City of Frisco is reeling from a tragic incident as the local police department announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with a murder that took place on Wednesday evening. According to the City of Frisco, 28-year-old Ryan Jackson is currently held for the murder of his mother, 63-year-old Marie Placide-Jackson, whose life was cruelly cut short in her home.
Reports from the Frisco Police Public Information Office reveal chilling details. On Wednesday, officers were dispatched around 6:31 p.m. to the 13500 block of Valencia Drive after receiving a call about an unresponsive person. The caller, who later turned out to be the husband of the victim and Jackson's father, informed dispatch that his wife was deceased and suspected his son was the responsible party. Upon entering the home, officers discovered Marie Placide-Jackson with multiple stab wounds.
Ryan Jackson was taken into custody at the scene and charged with first-degree felony murder. He was transported to the Frisco Detention Facility without incident. While this matter has pushed a wave of concern across the community, Frisco Police have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat.
