Gaston County Police have taken a man into custody on multiple charges of sexual assault involving a minor. According to a press release from Gaston County, Jon Derek Pittman, a 45-year-old resident of Gastonia, faces serious allegations.
The charges laid against Pittman include two counts of Statutory Rape of a child under 15, and two counts of Statutory Rape of a child by an adult. The arrest was made on Sunday by the Gaston County Police FAST team. Pittman is currently held on a $750,000.00 secured bond at the Gaston County Jail.
