The incident, which left one man injured, stemmed from a domestic violence call that officers from the Warner Robins Police Department responded to yesterday morning.
According to a press release by the GBI, officers arrived on the scene around 2:37 a.m. at the 100 block of Louis Street, where they encountered the suspect, identified as Jesus Chavez-Ledesma, 46, in a small storage shed behind a house. During this engagement, Chavez-Ledesma discharged a firearm at the officers and subsequently barricaded himself. The GBI is actively investigating the incident and will present its findings to the Houston County District Attorney’s Office once the probe is complete.
