
The Germantown Police Department has recently documented a string of criminal activities ranging from scams to narcotics possession. The list of incidents, spanning from August 1 through last Thursday, includes a variety of offenses, such as property damage, threatening behavior, and several arrests for possession of stolen vehicles and narcotics, as reported by the City of Germantown.
On August 1, a telephone scam attempt was reported by a victim on the 7600 block of Cross Village Drive. That same day, intentional property damage was reported by a business situated on the 9400 block of Crestwyn Hills Cove. As the week progressed, the GPD responded to various incidents, including arrests made for possession of narcotics and threats as well as reports of property taken from residences and a case of vandalism.
Reports from August 2 highlight an individual's arrest for possession of a stolen vehicle on the South Germantown Road and another subject being observed taking merchandise from the 9200 block of Poplar Avenue. Last Sunday saw a physical altercation between two subjects at a residence on Farnifold Drive. Threatening text messages and property thefts reported last Monday added to a series of criminal incidents that occurred throughout the week.
The GPD also reported arrests last Tuesday for narcotics possession and unlawful possession of a firearm, adding to the number of individuals apprehended during the week. This was followed by reports of vandalism involving a patio targeted with eggs on Poplar Woods Circle South, as well as additional incidents of merchandise theft and possession of drug paraphernalia last Thursday. Amid the reported crimes, the department also responded to a total of 26 crashes.
Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity directly to the Germantown Police Department.
