Calling all tech enthusiasts, startup hustlers, and innovation aficionados: the City of Glendale is on the lookout for participants to shape up this year’s Glendale Tech Week. Scheduled for September 2-4, 2025, the 9th Annual Glendale Tech Week is expected to surpass last year’s attendance, which brought over 3,000 participants to the venue. For those with a compelling event idea, applications are open, and potential hosts can shoot their shot over at GlendaleTechWeek.com for a spot on the busy tech calendar.
Last year’s affair was a hit, and with the city’s growing reputation as a hotbed for technological advancement in Southern California, the bar's set high for 2025. Glendale's Community Development Director Bradley Calvert spoke of the event’s collaborative nature, “What makes Glendale Tech Week such an important catalyst for the tech industry is that it is truly collaborative,” he told City of Glendale's news release. Surely, with the variety of workshops, panels, and networking opportunities, this year is all about expanding those community-driven dialogues and partnerships.
Approved events will get the GTW25 branding toolkit to jazz up their promotion game. Although event organizers are expected to handle the planning and promo hustle, the city is tossing in a lifeline, showcasing their year-round grabs at boosting the tech scene with networking gigs and entrepreneur-friendly programs.
Economic Development Deputy Director Soua Vang reiterated the city's commitment, pointing out that Tech Week is just a part of Glendale’s game plan to support the tech industry, “The City of Glendale Economic Development team remains steadfast in its commitment to help both existing tech businesses as well as working with aspiring entrepreneurs to build their future in the city,” Vang shared in the official press release. And the crowning jewel of their effort comes in the form of a $1 million grant awarded to FoundersBoost and SmartGateVC LLC, aimed at pumping life into tech start-ups from the ground up.
The city is well aware that growth needs space to thrive, and here Glendale doesn't disappoint, coworking spaces and Class A offices are ripe for the picking. Add to that the strategic presence of top tech firms and proximity to heavy-hitters like Disney and DreamWorks, and Glendale looks good on any tech company’s address list. With the heart of a vibrant business community, it’s no wonder the city has earned its stripes in the tech landscape.
