Authorities in Harris County made an arrest following a traffic stop that led them to an individual already entangled with the law. Constable Mark Herman's Office reported that on Monday, a deputy pulled over a driver in the 8000 block of Fallbrook Drive who showed signs of inebriation. The driver, identified as Mayra Avalos, was subjected to a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which suggested intoxication.
With the deputy having conducted the tests, it was determined Avalos was intoxicated. Subsequently, a blood draw was carried out to ascertain her blood alcohol level. In an unexpected twist, Avalos was discovered to already be on bond for two separate counts of Harassment.
Constable Mark Herman stated, "Mayra Avalos was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated. Her bond was set at $2,500.00 out of County Court 13," as per a report by the Precinct 4 Facebook page. Residents are also encouraged to follow the precinct’s social media channels and download the C4 NOW mobile app to stay informed about local incidents, including traffic stops that reveal additional enforcement actions.
