A tragic construction accident at the New Colgate Powerhouse in Dobbins has claimed the life of a Hayward man, according to a statement from the Yuba County Sheriff's Department. Daniel Bustos Mendez, age 33, was operating construction equipment on August 7, when it fell down a steep embankment, leading to fatal injuries.
