The Zahra Baker All Children’s Playground at Kiwanis Park in Hickory will temporarily close its main play structure starting Monday next week, for maintenance work. According to the City of Hickory website, the project involves installing new surfacing around the main play structure and is expected to take about a week, depending on weather conditions.
Other sections of the playground will remain open during the work, and the main structure is planned to reopen Monday next week.
The playground is located at 805 Sixth Street SE in Hickory. Updates on the closure and maintenance progress will be posted on the City of Hickory’s official website.
