A high-speed chase came to an abrupt end on the Northwest Freeway earlier this week when a driver, later identified as Alexis Perez, failed to stop for authorities and subsequently crashed into the curb. According to Constable Mark Herman's Office, the pursuit began after a deputy attempted a traffic stop in the 27100 block of the said freeway last Sunday.
The driver's decision to evade prompted deputies to engage in a pursuit that spanned several miles before Perez's vehicle was immobilized by a curb. Following the incident, Perez was apprehended and is now facing charges. "Alexis Perez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Evading in a Motor Vehicle. His bond was set at $7,500.00 out of the 208th District Court," stated Constable Mark Herman on the Precinct 4 Facebook page.
