The discovery of human remains in Lutz has triggered an official death investigation by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. According to a press release on the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office website, the deputies responded to a call on August 8, 2025, at around 11:20 a.m., leading them to a secluded area in the 19100 block of Ramblewood Road.
Upon arrival, the officers verified the presence of remains, reported to be that of a female with no evident signs of trauma. The Medical Examiner's Office is closely working to not only confirm the identity of the woman but also to meticulously ascertain the cause of her death, as reported by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
The case remains under investigation, with detectives collaborating with the medical examiner to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the woman's demise. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has been circumspect with information, maintaining that updates will originate solely from their Public Affairs Office as the case develops.
