Authorities are seeking assistance to track down a man accused of turning a theft from a vehicle into a shopping spree using stolen credit cards. Constable Mark Herman's Office was called to a Costco on the Northwest Freeway last Saturday, following reports of burglary involving a motor vehicle. The suspect, described as an African American male, was documented on video surveillance entering the victim's car and removing a purse with various personal items inside.
Moving quickly from the location of the burglary, the suspect then appeared at a Walmart close by. Here, cameras caught the suspect attempting to use the victim's credit cards to buy a slew of gift cards totaling $813.68, as reported by the Constable's Office.
In a statement shared by Constable Mark Herman's official Facebook page, he urged the community to come forward with information. "If you have any information regarding this case, you are urged to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement," the Constable stated. The post also guided readers to download the "C4 NOW" mobile app, offering updates on crimes, arrests, and accidents nearby.
