A shocking incident captured on video shows a moment that could have been fatal for two food influencers when an SUV crashed into the Houston restaurant where they were dining. The incident occurred last Sunday at Cuvée Culinary Creations, where the influencers, Nina Santiago and Patrick Blackwood, were filming content, as per KHOU.
The terrifying event unfolded as the vehicle smashed through the front window and into the dining area where Santiago, known online as NinaUnrated, and Blackwood were seated. Both were rushed to the hospital following the crash and are expected to recover. According to Santiago's Instagram post obtained by KHOU, as she bit into a salmon slider, the SUV massively disrupted their meal and nearly ended their lives. "I'm beyond grateful to be alive after an SUV crashed through the glass wall at @cuveesculinarycreations in Houston, TX, shattering everything while @iampatrickblackwood and I recorded an eating show," she wrote. "It hit us directly me on his left, him on my right as I bit into a delicious salmon slider. Out of nowhere, but we survived."
In the aftermath of the crash, Santiago reflected on the fragility of life, "This experience showed me who truly matters; life's too short for grudges or anger. Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you — this could’ve been our last meal," as she pointed out in her Instagram statement. Similarly, Blackwood shared his thoughts, emphasizing appreciation for life and a focus on what's important, according to his Instagram post: "Grateful to see another day, walking away from the small stuff with a big purpose! 🙏✨ Live bold, love deep, and make every moment count," as reported by KHOU.
Meanwhile, Santiago – who also creates content for OnlyFans – shared the aftermath of the incident on X, including images of her injuries, and her thoughts on the sudden trauma. "Tomorrow is not promised," she posted following the crash. In a sign of community support, fans and followers expressed relief and well-wishes for the couple, as indicated by the comments captured by the New York Post. One comment read, "That brother shielded you quick too. God bless you both. Glad y’all ok," amplifying the sentiment felt across the influencer's social media following.
The videos of the harrowing event promptly went viral on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, showcasing the severe impact and the glass shattering as the diners recoiled in shock. The driver of the SUV, reportedly en route to a private event at the restaurant, lost control for reasons that are still unclear, according to the restaurant's owner in statements to TMZ. Amid the chaos, the influencers expressed their profound gratitude for surviving what could have been a fatal collision, and they have chosen to channel the incident into a message of living fully and appreciating every moment.
