Houston area residents are again reminded of the dangers of drunk driving as officials report the apprehension of a third-time offender. On Wednesday, constables arrested Gregorio Bernal following a vehicle crash on Will Clayton Parkway. According to the official Facebook page of Precinct 4, officers found Bernal at the scene and noted he displayed signs indicative of intoxication.
Due to his apparent state, Bernal was unable to satisfactorily complete the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, leading officers to quickly obtain and execute a warrant to draw a blood specimen. This event marks his third arrest on similar grounds with two prior convictions for Driving While Intoxicated. "Gregorio Bernal was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated - 3rd Offense. His bond was set at $30,000.00 out of the 248th District Court," said Constable Mark Herman, as reported by the Precinct 4 Facebook page.
