
A 68-year-old man was hit and killed on Friday morning on the North Loop East in Houston. Police said the crash happened around 7:25 a.m. at 8600 North Loop East (North Interstate 610). The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is working to confirm the victim’s identity, according to the City of Houston.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer J. Trevino said a man was hit and killed while walking in the main lanes of the freeway. The vehicle involved is not yet identified, and the driver left the scene. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man dead at the location, as reported by the City of Houston.
Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run and are seeking information to identify the driver or vehicle involved.
