Houston police are currently conducting an investigation into the shooting death of a 32-year-old man that took place at 4020 Synott Road yesterday around 4:45 p.m. The name of the deceased has not been released yet, as it is still pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, according to the City of Houston's news release.
Officers from the HPD Homicide Division, including Detectives S. Chettry and H. Martinez, have reported that HPD patrol officers were called to the scene after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Emergency services quickly transported him to an area hospital, where, unfortunately, he was pronounced dead. The initial findings suggest that the victim was engaged in a physical altercation with an unidentified male, who is believed to have quickly shot the victim and then swiftly fled the area.
The Houston police are actively seeking assistance from the public to apprehend the suspect and are urging anyone with information on the case to come forward. Information can be shared by contacting the HPD Homicide Division directly at 713-308-3600 or by submitting a tip through Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
