Houston police are currently investigating the death of a woman whose body was found at a Lorraine Street apartment yesterday evening. The Houston Police Department (HPD) confirmed that officers responded to a call at 2705 Lorraine Street at approximately 6:25 p.m., where they discovered an unresponsive female. According to the city's news release, paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Investigators have not yet released the identity of the deceased, as they await verification from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The cause of death is still unknown and will be determined following an autopsy by the same institute. HPD Homicide Division Detectives I. Barrett and P. Michon are handling the case and are in the process of piecing together the events that led to the woman's death.
