Houston authorities are currently seeking information on a suspect involved in a fatal stabbing that occurred on the 123 North Drennan Street, an incident leaving the community reeling. Houston police have disseminated surveillance footage of the white male suspect believed to be connected to the Thursday morning attack, which claimed the life of a 77-year-old man whose identity is yet to be confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The chilling episode unfolded around 5:55 a.m. when the victim, reportedly on his way to work via a local bike trail, was ambushed and stabbed by the assailant. Despite the grievous injury, he managed to continue to his workplace, where his co-workers promptly dialed 911. Tragically, upon arrival at a nearby hospital, the man was declared dead, according to a news release by the Houston Police Department.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective R. Lujan are leading the investigation. Through their collaborative efforts with the Metro Police Department, they have pinpointed a suspect who was spotted getting onto a metro transit vehicle shortly after the incident took place.
