According to a statement from the police department, a 39-year-old man from Salisbury was found dead at the scene, located in a parking lot at the intersection of Dove Sail Lane and Merriweather Drive. The victim, whose stay in Columbia was temporary, suffered multiple gunshot wounds while he was entering his vehicle around 10:35 p.m.
