Authorities in Houston are actively investigating a tragic incident, where a woman was fatally shot, and a man apparently took his own life. The grim discovery was made at an apartment complex located at 10940 Meadowglen Lane yesterday afternoon.
The Houston Police Department, through their Homicide Division Detectives J. Meister and J. Robles, reported to have been called to the scene for a welfare check around 4:15 p.m. Unfortunately, they stumbled upon to find two individuals unresponsive inside one of the apartments. According to information released via the official City of Houston News, the woman and man, both 26 years old, had suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead by the Houston Fire Department paramedics who responded to the scene.
The investigation has pointed towards a murder-suicide scenario, with preliminary evidence suggesting the man shot the woman before fatally turning the gun on himself. The identities of the individuals involved have not yet been released, as they are still pending verification from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
