Fort Worth residents have a chance to directly contribute to their city's beautification by participating in the annual Neighborhood Litter Stomp, happening on Saturday, Oct. 11. Announced by Keep Fort Worth Beautiful (KFWB), the event is designed not only to clean the streets but also to foster community pride and environmental responsibility. The citywide initiative invites everyone to select a spot within the city - be it a local park, school, or any public area - and help to clear it of litter, as reported by the City of Fort Worth.
The event will take place from 8-11 a.m., and while volunteers can opt to go solo, organizing a group could make the activity a more communal and impactful experience. The first 1,000 volunteers to register for the cleanup will not only contribute to the cause but will also receive a free T-shirt, so it pays to sign up early. Free litter cleanup supplies will be provided to support the volunteers' efforts as a part of KFWB's mission to promote litter source control.
Interested participants are encouraged to save the date and mark their calendars for the morning of October 11. Registration kicks off on Monday, Sept. 1, and can be easily completed online. Simply fill out the 2025 Event Registration form, select your preferred cleanup location, and prepare to join forces with fellow community members. Once you've registered, you can head over to the Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods on Friday, Oct. 10, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., to pick up your supplies and shirt in preparation for the big day, according to the City of Fort Worth.
