In Waukesha County, a joint Preliminary Damage Assessment team is conducting evaluations following recent flooding. The team includes FEMA, Wisconsin Emergency Management (WEM), the Small Business Administration, local government representatives, and county officials, according to a release from Waukesha County Government.
The group is going door-to-door to confirm reported damages. Officials noted that even if a property is not visited, it may still be eligible for federal assistance if approved later.
An aerial photo released by the county on Monday last week, taken by the Wisconsin Air Coordination Group, showed flooding along the Fox River and Barker Road.
County officials stated they will continue to provide updates regarding federal assistance and the recovery process.
