The Jonas Brothers' tour launch at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium surprised fans with a "Camp Rock" revival, featuring a guest appearance by Demi Lovato, their former Disney Channel co-star. According to CBS New York, in an unexpected comeback, the Jonas Brothers and Lovato performed a crowd-raising joint version of "Gotta Find You" and "This Is Me" from the 2008 Disney musical hit. NJ Transit offered "Jonas Brothers Hometown Express" trains to accommodate concertgoers attending the event.
The nostalgic performance continued as Lovato and Joe Jonas, who publicly dated in 2010, performed their duet "Wouldn't Change a Thing" from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Lovato posted a clip of the reunion on TikTok, writing, "thanks for having me @Jonas Brothers." As reported by the New York Post, online reactions included comments such as "THIS HEALED SOMETHING IN ME," and "my 2025 is complete."
This onstage reunion occurred about five years after Lovato stated in a 2020 Harper's Bazaar interview that she was no longer in contact with Joe Jonas or his brothers. The Jonas Brothers, currently on their "Jonas20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour," are scheduled to perform 52 shows across the country over the next three months, including stops in New Jersey and New York, as per report by CBS New York.
The MetLife Stadium event marked both a musical homecoming and a personal milestone for the former couple. Alongside their performance, they created a backstage video lip syncing to each other's song "Wouldn't Change a Thing" and mimicked a viral speech by fellow Disney alum Debby Ryan. Lovato captioned her TikTok post with, "for the history books @joejonas," referencing the moment. Lovato's husband, Jordan "Jutes" Lutes, shared a video of Lovato stepping onto the stage, writing, "Couldn't be more proud ... I love u sooo much baby," the New York Post reported.
