Authorities in Hawaii are reaching out to the public to help identify a man who allegedly pulled a knife on another individual this past Thursday in Kailua-Kona. The Hawaii Island police reported that the incident, which they're describing as a "weapons incident," occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. on Hualalai Road, as per a release published by the department.
The victim, a 26-year-old male, claims he was confronted by a suspect who brandished a small folding knife and demanded money. The man quickly fled on foot, leaving the authorities to now piece together evidence and fiercely pursue leads. Descriptors of the suspect have been released, with police detail he is a light skinned Caucasian male, standing about 5'5" tall with a thin build, weighing in around 155 pounds, and topped with light brown curly hair accented with short brown and white facial hair. Throughout the time of the incident, he was observed wearing a gray baseball cap, a dark shirt emblazoned with yellow "Tap 808" script, black shorts, and dark shoes, as reported by the Hawaii Police Department.
