Heads up, Lake County commuters! You'll need to reroute your drive starting later this month. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 12 has announced a significant road closure that's bound to affect many.
According to a social media post from the ODOT, State Route 84, sandwiched neatly between Bates Rd. and County Line Rd., will see a closure for about 90 days starting Monday, August 18.
In the heart of Madison Township, the closure will facilitate the replacement of a bridge or culvert over Arcola Creek. No strangers to construction delays, local drivers are advised to plan extra time into their commutes. Ohio Department of Transportation District 12 has worked out a detour that maneuvers through SR 528, I-90, and SR 534. Being caught off guard will serve no one when the project commences.
