An investigation is underway in Lancaster County following the death of a 43-year-old Indian Land man, who was found unresponsive in a Lowe's parking lot this past Saturday. According to a social media post by the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at 181 Fort Mill Highway with first responders confirming that the individual had sadly passed away before their arrival.
Though the man's identity remains undisclosed, Sheriff Barry Faile revealed that he had been facing a recently exacerbated medical condition he was actively treating. A preliminary examination by officials showed that the deceased had no external injuries, prompting investigators to consider non-violent causes for his sudden death. A crime scene investigator, along with a deputy coroner, were dispatched to the scene, where his truck was also thoroughly searched following the obtainment of a search warrant.
