The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Atlanta Dream 74-72, earning their eighth consecutive win. A’ja Wilson scored 32 points, had 12 rebounds, and 5 blocks, becoming the youngest and fastest player to reach 2,000 career field goals, according to AP News.
In the fourth quarter, the Aces came back from a 10-point deficit in under nine minutes, including a 13-0 run after a timeout called by Becky Hammon, as reported by Aces. Wilson’s jumper with just over a minute left gave the Aces the lead. Atlanta’s Rhyne Howard scored 19 points, and Allisha Gray and Brittney Griner scored 16 each, but Atlanta did not score for nearly six minutes in the fourth quarter.
The Aces out-rebounded the Dream 32 to 29 and scored 12 points off Atlanta’s 15 turnovers, while giving up 22 points from their own 14 turnovers. With eight regular-season games left, the Aces will next play the Phoenix Mercury.
