Councilmember Suzanne Allen of Litchfield Park is setting her sights on state-wide leadership development after being selected to partake in the Arizona League of Cities and Towns' new Civic Craft Leadership Program. Catering exclusively to municipal elected officials in Arizona, the program aims to empower council members like Allen with a suite of advanced tools crucial for fostering community growth and effective local governance.
The year-long, nonpartisan initiative will allow Allen to potentially forever change how leaders connect and operate across Arizona. Participants are set to engage in interactive workshops, hear from expert speakers, delve into real-world case studies, and seize opportunities to network with peers from various locales. In a statement made by the City of Litchfield Park's official website, Allen voiced her eagerness, "I'm thrilled to be a part of this inaugural cohort and excited to grow and collaborate alongside other leaders across the state."
Councilmember Allen's commitment to continuously learn and working for her constituents shines through her approach. "I want to lean in on key areas of local governance and use this opportunity to approach public service by doing the work, learning continuously, and showing our community that I'm invested in serving them well," Allen told the City of Litchfield Park's official website. With the Civic Craft Leadership Program, officials like Allen are being provided with a chance to sharpen the very skills municipalities need as they navigate the complexities of modern governance.
