Lorain County Adult Protective Services is grappling with a technical setback that has left its hotline unusable since Friday. County officials, in a bid to reassure the public, have offered alternative contact methods while they work to restore the critical service line.
According to a social media post from the Lorain County Ohio Government, the intake line (440-284-4465) experienced issues beginning yesterday. Even as the hotline remains inactive, county officials have not been idle. They ask the public to reach out through alternative means, specifically an email address, a temporary phone number, and a digital referral form.
For those needing to contact Adult Protective Services, the county advises sending emails to [email protected] with the subject line 'Attn APS' and including the sender's name and phone number. Alternatively, individuals can call 440-406-5106 to speak with a representative. Further, the county has made available an APS referral form that can be accessed by clicking a link on their website. It has provided a fax number (440-323-3422) for additional submission options.
