A Lorain County man, who was reported missing after he did not arrive at a car show he left home to attend, has been safely located and returned to his family. The Lorain County Sheriff's Office communicated through a social media post that the missing person's case was promptly resolved following his disappearance on Tuesday at around 3 pm.
The efforts to find the man involved deploying deputies who initiated a search, tapped into Flock camera surveillance, and pinged the individual's cell phone. A Senior Alert was put forth to facilitate the search. The Lorain County Sheriff's Office clarified, "No social media post was made due to the fact that we had reliable information about his location." While driving the search forward, the Ohio State Highway Patrol successfully located the man less than five hours after the original report was filed.
The missing person was found in the city of New Philadelphia by the Highway Patrol at 01:15 am on Tuesday, according to the information provided by the Sheriff's Office. The successful resolution to this disappearance allowed the man to be reunited with his loved ones in a timely manner, easing the concerns of both family and the community.
