The Los Angeles Police Department has taken into custody a man identified as Jordan “Jay” Christopher Hunt, suspected of a series of sexual assaults in the Los Angeles area, as reported by KTLA. Following an investigation that led to his arrest on Wednesday, police stated that Hunt allegedly used social media and dating applications to meet and assault his victims.
Officials are concerned that there are additional unidentified victims and are actively seeking out any who has yet to come forward, as per the LAPD. The LAPD's Southwest Division Sexual Assault Detectives are conducting the ongoing investigation, asking for the community's assistance in locating further victims or witnesses.
According to a statement made by the LAPD, Hunt is currently booked on charges of Forcible Rape, with the case already presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for potential criminal filing.
