
A man is in critical condition after being hit by a pickup truck last night in northeast Las Vegas. According to a report by 8 News Now, the incident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Craig Road, east of Lamb Boulevard. The man, purportedly between 30 to 40 years old, was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck.
The News 3 LV also covered the event, noting that the crash took place near the intersection of Craig Road and Puebla Street, close to Nellis Blvd. Police said the pedestrian was crossing northbound on Craig Road, outside of a marked crosswalk when, the 2007 Nissan Titan traveling westbound hit him.
After the collision, the injured man was transported to University Medical Center Trauma with life-threatening injuries as determined by the trauma staff. The driver of the Nissan, a 52-year-old individual, remained at the scene following the crash and reportedly showed no signs of impairment, this detail was similarly reported by both news outlets.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section is conducting an investigation into the accident. So far, no charges have been reported, and the identification of the man injured has not been released.
