Last night in Seattle's South Park neighborhood, a man was critically injured in a shooting incident, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Seattle Police Department's detectives. According to SPD Blotter, the event unfolded around 9:40 p.m. when police were initially called to a bar altercation in the 8600 block of 14th Avenue South. Upon officers' arrival, dispatch elevated the situation to a shooting, where they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds in the back parking lot.
The Seattle Fire Department was quick to provide medical aid to the man, believed to be in his 30s, and transported him to Harborview Medical Center, he still is in critical condition and facing life-threatening injuries. In the aftermath of the shooting, the suspect, or possibly suspects, had fled the scene before police could detain anyone. Detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit have since been processing the site for evidence and working to determine what events led up to the violence.
Currently, there have been no arrests in the case, and the authorities are urging the public for assistance.
