Firefighters and rescue swimmers swiftly reached the scene, pulling the man to safety before being transferred to a local hospital for medical evaluation, per an update shared by the SFFD's official social media post.

The rescue was not this man's first encounter with SFFD's lifesaving efforts, raising concerns about the circumstances leading to these repeated incidents. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the individual, believed to be in his 30s or 40s, has been rescued by the firefighters before. However, Lt. Mariano Elias could not specify immediately when the last rescue occurred.
