Among a number of other things we’re celebrating this month, August is National Wellness Month! We want to encourage people to make self-care a priority, building healthy routines that support their overall health.

Manatee County is encouraging residents to take a simple approach to self-care by committing to one small act of wellness each day, such as drinking more water, getting adequate sleep, exercising regularly, or setting aside time for relaxation.
As part of the initiative, the County is encouraging residents to track their progress in addition to making changes. Participants can share their wellness activities on social media by using the hashtag #ManateeWellness and tagging @manateeexploreandplay. This digital engagement is designed to create an online community focused on health, allowing individuals to motivate and support one another by showcasing their progress.
