
Three hikers had to be rescued Thursday afternoon in the White Tank Mountains after becoming exhausted in the intense Arizona heat. According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, two men and a woman were airlifted by the sheriff’s aviation team and taken to the hospital for treatment, as reported by Fox10 Phoenix.
In the throes of their endeavor, one hiker's condition escalated to critical, a stark reminder of the thin line between adventure and peril in the natural world. Offering details of the incident, the Sheriff's Office noted that its aviation team, responding to the hikers' pleas, acted swiftly, as described by Fox10 Phoenix: "Our aviation unit promptly responded and successfully transported them to medical personnel, who then took them to the hospital."
