On September 1, in observance of Labor Day, many County of Maui offices and public pools will be closed. The information was posted on the County of Maui's official website.
On the holiday, all County of Maui offices, county pools, and some service centers—like the Lahaina Resource Center and Recovery Permit Center—will be closed. Debris hauling from the Lahaina wildfire will also pause. The Central Maui Landfill and Olowalu Recycling & Refuse Convenience Center will have shorter hours, as reported by the County of Maui.
Residential trash pickup and the Maui Bus will run as usual during the holiday. All other county services, including government offices and debris hauling, will resume normal operations on September 2, as stated by the County of Maui.
