The incident, which occurred just after 8 p.m. near the intersection of Manassas Street and Jefferson Avenue, resulted in significant damage to the police cruiser and one other car. As reported by Action News 5, the officer was transported to the hospital shortly after the crash.
Following the collision, Memphis Police had to hastily utilize a taser during the encounter with a male individual who has since been detained.
