In the wake of a brazen vehicle theft at a Cadillac dealership in Memphis, authorities are turning to the public for assistance. The heist took place on July 23, 2025, where two suspects managed to lift a 2019 Honda Accord after entering the premises in a white Honda Accord with mismatched Tennessee license plates.
According to a report by the Memphis Police Department, the incident occurred at the 5433 Poplar Avenue location. Surveillance footage captured the two suspects in action. Suspect #1 can be seen crouched by the targeted vehicle, while suspect #2 appears to provide a key. The stolen Accord, along with the suspect's vehicle, both left the scene, heading down Poplar Avenue. The thieves' Honda Accord bore plates registered as TN BSD2543, which authorities have flagged as not belonging to that vehicle.
Yesterday’s report details the appearance of the first suspect, who was clothed entirely in black, accentuated with white graphic stripes on the arms of the hoodie. The Memphis Police Department is asking for help to find those responsible. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
