In a separate case reported on July 30, 2025, a different form of robbery unfolded around 7:25 p.m. in the 1100 block of New Jersey Avenue, Northwest. A suspect snatched property directly from an individual before escaping. Following up on this incident, authorities arrested a Southeast, DC adolescent on August 22nd, charging him with Robbery (Snatch).

While both cases have culminated in arrests, authorities indicate that investigations are ongoing.
