
Authorities from the Metropolitan Police Department have swiftly brought a suspect into custody following a robbery in Northwest Washington, D.C. The incident unfolded on Sunday when officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of 10th Street Northwest after receiving reports of an assault.
Upon their arrival at approximately 5:58 am on August 3rd, officers found that the victim had been attacked and robbed by four individuals. An immediate search was initiated, leading to the quick apprehension of one suspect. In a statement obtained by the MPD, the victim was able to positively identify this individual as their assailant.
The continued investigation has resulted in the arrest of 18-year-old Anthony Taylor from Temple Hills, Maryland. According to the official Metropolitan Police Department, Taylor is now facing charges for Robbery (Force and Violence). However, the hunt for the remaining suspects is ongoing, as the case has yet to be closed.
Authorities are reaching out to the community to help possibly bring to justice those involved. The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for the crime.
